MONDAY,
JULY 22:
The rain
stopped sometime last night, and the clouds started clearing in the morning. Turned into a beautiful day. Used it as a catch-up day . . . a long,
luxurious shower in the park’s facility, a leisurely breakfast of waffles with peaches,
blueberries, and whipped cream eaten on the breakfast table outside. First time in quite a while!
A frustrating couple of hours trying to load
pictures onto the blog. The manager here
says that the WiFi signal is strong . . . I even took the laptop over to a
picnic table right underneath one of the towers. Still took 30 minutes to load one picture . .
. grrrrr . . . so I finally signed up again for the paid service. Worked fine.
I think it’s only offered a few places in the state, so not sure what
we’ll do if WiFi is non-existent or weak in subsequent places. Oh well . . . a minor problem to solve.
Read
outside in Jonathan’s chairs under the warm sun, and napped under the same sun.
Before we
knew it, time to get dinner. Finished
the shrimp. Soooo good! Ate that meal outside too.
Walked
Pappy around the park. It’s getting more
full – several rigs came in today. This
park is really laid out like a parking lot – all of the sites are lined up like
soldiers. But because they’re grassy, it
has a park-like feel. Nice views of the
surrounding mountains. Quiet and
peaceful.
We’ll drive down to one of the rivers and lakes
tomorrow.
With Bella here, I was out of touch for a while. Dewayne Ter Maat told us something of the bear adventures! We are enjoying your pictures, as always.
